You reached my flaws

i held a hopeful ignorance
pulled off a showy innocence
but i can not flee far
from my internal war
you met me at my contravention
proving to be a better substitution
your love for me insane
stirring me towards change
comprehend you, i can not
you loved me still, though i fought
always merciful arms i meet
providing me with a spotless sheet
like terminating termites, i slowly toil
ridding bad habits, like weeding old soil
your strength teaches me
to endeavor enduringly
to tackle any defect
aiming to be perfect
but you will forever be there to forgive
and with your love i will at last live
