Dear Family and Friends,
I am writing this letter to inform you of the mission trip I will be going on this summer during July 2-14, 2007. I am joining my Gramma, Clare Case, and an amazing team of people to go to Ukraine. This mission trip is directed by Helping Hands Ministries and was started by the mission director: Dean Simpson. Dean Simpson is our leader, and he meets this God challenge every year. For a part of this year’s trip, we will be working in the Carpathian Mountains to work with poor families in need. The other part of our time will be dedicated to work in some small towns and villages as we work where God needs us. Our purpose is to encourage Christians, to witness to those who have never heard the Gospel, and to help with whatever God desires us to help with.
One part of support that is crucial to have is prayer. I need all the prayer that can be given! Pray that my financial needs will be met. Pray for the team’s safety and health during travel as well as while in Ukraine. Pray for my faith’s strength and ability to stay strong despite satan’s attempts to ruin our team’s efforts to follow God.
Another area of support I am asking for is financial help. The trip costs $2750; this money takes care of international airfare, lodging, food, and departure taxes. If you can contribute anything to help me, that would be amazing. You can send or give me whatever it is you are willing to give. If you want a tax deduction, you can make out a check to Helping Hands Ministries (P.O. Box 5037, Statesville, NC 28687), and send it to them with a note saying the check is for Chelsey Rubin.
